RULES

  1. Steps taken while walking (and jogging/running) are counted every day June 1st to June 30th. Every day you reach 6,000 steps or more you will get 1 point.
  2. Steps will be counted daily with a step tracker (Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, Google Fit, etc.)
  3. Simply put on the tracker in the morning, wear all day, and Challenge Runner will automatically sync with your tracker and award you your daily point.
  4. There will be no conversion of other activities to step equivalents from estimation tables or equations.
  5. Each week there will be bonus points that all participants will be eligible for. These points will go towards your total points.
  6. Throughout the challenge you can achieve a total of 50 points: 30 base points and 20 bonus points.

Weekly Bonus Point Opportunities

Week 1 - Personal Goal

Monday, June 4th – Friday, June 8th 

Set a personal goal on your Fitbit/step tracking app.

6,001 steps is the minimum.

Screen shot Fitbit/step tracking app and upload to Challenge Runner Monday-Friday.

Participant will be awarded 1 bonus point for every day your personal step goal is reached.

You will only be able to upload your photo up to one day late. Bonus point(s) will otherwise be forfeited.

1-5 Bonus Points Possible  

 

Week 2 - Destination Week

Monday, June 11th – Friday, June 15th

This week you must you must find at least 5 of the following options, take a picture, and upload it to the Challenge Runner app:

  1. Monument
  2. Something Sparkly
  3. Orange Construction Barrel
  4. Something Heavy
  5. Grocery Store
  6. Movie Theater
  7. A Rooftop (take the stairs)
  8. Public Restroom
  9. A bridge
  10. Something Tall

Participant will be awarded 5 points for this challenge.

You will only be able to upload your photo up to one day late. Bonus point(s) will otherwise be forfeited.

Week 3 - Water Intake

Monday, June 18th – Friday, June 22nd

Drink 8 glasses a day (64 oz.) and track it on your Fitbit/tracking app Monday-Friday

Screen shot your app and upload to Challenge Runner Monday-Friday.

Participant will be awarded 1 bonus point for every day step goal is reached.

You will only be able to upload your photo up to one day late. Bonus point(s) will otherwise be forfeited.

Week 4 - All In Steps

Monday, June 25th – Saturday, June 30th

This is the last 6 days of the challenge-  Monday, June 25th to Saturday, June 30th!

In order to receive bonus points this week you must hit 60,000 steps by the end of the 6 days.

Your Fitbit/step tracking app will log your steps automatically.

Participant will be awarded 5 points for this challenge. It’s all or nothing.
