Description:

This is a challenge to encourage everyone to start the day off right! 

Items needed:

Object:

To run in the morning!

Rules:

To compete in this challenge, one must add physical activity to their early morning routine and track it using a pedometer of some sort.  A competitor within this challenge must complete at least 5,000 steps before 8 a.m. and screen shot or take a picture of the proof of their efforts.  Be sure that the time and date can be accessed from your picture.  For example, if you have a fitbit, then you can simply screenshot the fitbit app, which includes the date and the time will most likely be visible in the top right of your phone.  If you simply have a pedometer, then you can take a picture of your pedometer and the properties of the picture will display the time and date of the picture.  Please create a folder with your name on it and upload your pictures to the shared drive weekly, by Monday at 5 p.m. At the end of each challenge week, the folders will be tallied and the pictures will be deleted.  It is imperative that you upload your pictures for the previous week to the folder by close of business on Monday or you may not receive credit for your hard work.

Scoring:

Each participant will receive one point for successfully completing 5,000 before 8 a.m.

Challenge Dates:

The duration of this challenge is the month of August.  The challenge begins on Monday August 3rd, and ends on Monday August 31st.  At the end of the challenge, the final week will be tallied and scores compared. 

Cost and Reward:

The cost to enter the challenge is $10.  The person with the most points will win all money contributed to this challenge.  Besides the monetary reward, all challengers can feel good that they stepped up to the plate in an effort to create long lasting healthy and beneficial habits.
