Description:

Welcome to the Wellness Committee's Mini Physical Activity Challenge! This challenge will be worth a total of 100 points for your 80’s rock band team. The Challenge will be starting on September 18th and will end on October 16th, centering on the timing of our office 5k/10k race and offsite hike.

The goal for the challenge is to get 5 days of 30 minutes of physical activity within a week (total of 150 minutes per week). What counts as physical activity?  Good question, this would include going for a walk, running, lifting weights, exercise classes, taking the stairs, etc. For the challenge, if you complete the 30 minutes of physical activity, all you have to do is check the 30 minutes of daily activity box to indicate you completed at least 30 minutes of physical activity (as specified above) within that day. Checking this box will net your team 4 points for each day completed, if you complete all 25 days then you've successfully earned your team a whole 100 points!

Given the competitive drive of our office, you still have the opportunity to track your total daily activity minutes within the portal (similar to previous year’s challenges). The minutes you place in the Daily Minutes tracker will be compiled and placed onto a leaderboard in which an individual prize from our wellness prize vault will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place at the end of the challenge. No additional points for your team will be added, this is simply for individual prizes. The top 2 places will be able to pick a prize from the prize vault. “

In sum, there are 2 trackers that you will use, the completion box (I feel like this needs a name) to indicate you completed 30 minutes of physical activity for that day (to earn team points) and the Daily Minutes Tracker to place in the total number of minutes for that day (for the individual prize opportunity and to be on the leaderboard).
