Walking helps reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and some cancers. Health professionals recommend walking at least 10,000 steps a day to achieve those benefits.
So, get ready to move, because April 2016 will be the first ever Leonardo 10,000 Step Challenge!
Think you can’t do it? There are lots of ways to sneak more steps into your day. Take the stairs, walk at lunch or on your coffee break. Get off the subway a stop or two early. Have a walking meeting. Walk to your co-worker’s desk instead of sending an email. And walk your way to some amazing prizes!

For each week in April, take 70,000 steps per week and your name will get entered in the draw to win a Vacation Day! You have 4 chances to win:
Friday April 1 to Thursday April 7 – submit your steps on Friday April 8
Friday April 8 to Thursday April 14 – submit your steps on Friday April 15
Friday April 15 to Thursday April 21 – submit your steps on Friday April 22
Friday April 22 to Thursday April 28 – submit your steps on Friday April 29
Draw will be on Friday April 29!
The Department with the highest group average of steps (cap is 70,000 each week per employee) for the month of April will win a catered lunch in the office! Sorry, participants only!

While this will be on the honour system, please make sure we can verify your results, so if it’s not trackable, make sure to take a picture before you reset!
